MEET JENNIFER
I’m Jennifer Romesser, a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience. I work with adults who want a better understanding of their attention, thinking, emotions, and day-to-day challenges.
At Northern Utah Psychology & Consulting, I provide psychological and neuropsychological assessments, evaluations for accommodations, and therapy. My work brings together careful assessment and practical recommendations you can use in your life.
You bring the questions. We’ll work together to understand the patterns, consider the possibilities, and identify next steps.
Jennifer Romesser, PsyD
WHAT TO EXPECT
Every evaluation starts with your questions. The details depend on what you need, but the aim is always to make the process understandable.
Share what’s bringing you in. A consultation gives us space to discuss your goals, the right service, scheduling, and costs.
An assessment may include an interview, questionnaires, a review of relevant records, and selected tests. The approach is tailored to the questions we’re exploring.
We’ll discuss what the findings mean and practical recommendations for treatment, daily life, or accommodation needs.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
It’s natural to have questions before getting started. Here are a few good places to begin.
Have another question? Get in touch ↗An ADHD assessment explores patterns in attention, organization, activity level, and impulse control, including how they affect your life now and how they showed up earlier in life.
It typically brings together a clinical interview, questionnaires, relevant history and records, and, when appropriate, information from someone who knows you well. Additional testing may help answer specific questions. We also consider other possible contributors, such as anxiety, mood, sleep, or medical concerns. No single test establishes an ADHD diagnosis.
The purpose is to clarify what’s happening and identify useful recommendations, whether or not ADHD is the final diagnosis.
A psychological assessment focuses on questions about emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning. It can help clarify concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, or autism.
A neuropsychological assessment looks more closely at thinking skills and brain–behavior relationships. It may examine memory, attention, language, processing speed, and executive functioning, particularly when there are concerns about brain injury or cognitive changes.
There is overlap. The right evaluation depends on the question you want answered. Jennifer’s neuropsychological testing is conducted in person.
Yes. Jennifer provides autism spectrum assessments for adults age 18 and older. An evaluation considers developmental history, social communication, patterns of interests and behavior, sensory experiences, and daily functioning. It may include interviews, questionnaires, and other assessment methods selected for your needs.
Autism assessments may be available through telehealth when clinically appropriate and permitted in your location. A consultation helps determine the right format.
Jennifer evaluates concerns related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, memory, and other cognitive difficulties. An assessment can help distinguish between possible explanations, identify strengths and challenges, and guide next steps.
You don’t need to know which diagnosis or assessment to ask for. Start with what you’re noticing and what you want to understand.
Yes. Jennifer offers evaluations for accommodation needs in college and university settings, employment, and standardized testing, including the LSAT, MCAT, and GRE.
Requirements vary by school, employer, and testing organization. Bring the relevant documentation guidelines and deadlines so the evaluation can address the requested information. An evaluation can support a request; the organization receiving it makes the final decision about accommodations.
The length and number of appointments depend on the referral question and the type of assessment. Jennifer will discuss the proposed scope, appointment format, expected timing, and costs before you begin.
You do not need to study for an assessment. It can help to gather relevant prior evaluations, a current medication list, and any accommodation requirements. Ask for any preparation instructions specific to your visit.
Yes. Jennifer offers individual therapy for adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Therapy focuses on understanding difficulties and developing practical ways to respond. You can contact Jennifer to discuss therapy even if you’re not seeking an assessment.
Jennifer works with adults age 18 and older, including older adults. This practice does not provide services for children under 18.
Jennifer sees clients in her Ogden, Utah office and offers telehealth where appropriate. Through PSYPACT authorization, she can work with eligible clients physically located in participating states.
Psychological, ADHD, and autism assessments may be offered through telehealth when suitable. Neuropsychological testing is in person. Your location and clinical needs must be confirmed before scheduling; not every service is suitable for remote delivery.
A consultation is an introductory conversation about your concerns, what you’re looking for, and whether Jennifer’s services are a fit. You can ask about assessment options, therapy, insurance, scheduling, and next steps.

Benefits vary by plan and service. Confirm coverage, deductible or copay, and any prior authorization or referral requirements before scheduling. Being in network does not mean every evaluation or service is covered.
Jennifer’s private-pay rate is $200 per hour. The total cost of an assessment depends on its scope and the time involved; this is not a flat $200 assessment fee.
Self-pay clients receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges. Discuss the services included and any cost questions before starting care.
A Good Faith Estimate is a written explanation of the expected charges for care when you are uninsured or aren’t using insurance. You can ask for one before you decide to schedule.
If a provider’s bill is at least $400 above that provider’s estimate, you may be eligible for the federal patient–provider dispute process. Keep your estimate for comparison with your bill.
Before services begin, Jennifer provides informed consent and privacy/HIPAA documents explaining the services, confidentiality, and its limits, including circumstances in which disclosure or reporting may be required by law. These are reviewed as part of the intake process, and you can ask questions before consenting.
